To do their work, hydraulic systems must store fluid under high pressure, <em>typically 2,000 pounds or more per square inch.<\/em><\/span><\/strong><\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter wp-image-1530\" src=\"http:\/\/www.fineflowtech.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2020\/06\/bancopruebas.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"802\" height=\"229\" srcset=\"https:\/\/www.fineflowtech.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2020\/06\/bancopruebas.jpg 700w, https:\/\/www.fineflowtech.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2020\/06\/bancopruebas-300x86.jpg 300w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 802px) 100vw, 802px\" \/><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><span style=\"color: #000000;\"><em>Hydraulic equipment and systems are designed to accomplish work using confined liquid pressure to produce a greater mechanical force. The operators\/ maintenance crews are subjected to hazards from high pressure liquids and large mechanical forces.\u00a0<\/em><\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><span style=\"color: #000000;\">Assuming the products selected are meeting the system performance requirements in terms of Material, Size, Tolerance and Compatibility there are yet a few factors that can cause Hydraulic System Safety to be Compromised.<\/span><\/p>\n<h4><span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\"><span style=\"color: #000000;\"><strong>Injury Hazards<\/strong><\/span><\/span><\/h4>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><span style=\"color: #000000;\">Various hazards can lead to injury in a hydraulic system. Some of the hazards can cause injury while the others can cause injury as well as financial implications. Let us take some time to browse upon such incidental occurrences. One hazard comes from <em><strong>removing or<\/strong> <strong>adjusting components without releasing the pressure<\/strong><\/em>. The fluid, under tremendous pressure, is also hot. The worker then is exposed to <strong>three kinds of hazards<\/strong>:<\/span><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li style=\"text-align: justify;\"><span style=\"color: #000000;\"><strong>Burns from hot, <\/strong><\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"text-align: justify;\"><span style=\"color: #000000;\"><strong>High-pressure fluid; <\/strong><\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"text-align: justify;\"><span style=\"color: #000000;\"><strong>Bruises, cuts or abrasions<\/strong> from flailing hydraulic lines.<\/span><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><span style=\"color: #000000;\">It is advised to bleed the hydraulic system using a designed bleeding<\/span><\/p>\n<h4><span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\"><span style=\"color: #000000;\"><strong>Pinhole Leak Injuries<\/strong><\/span><\/span><\/h4>\n<figure id=\"attachment_1533\" aria-describedby=\"caption-attachment-1533\" style=\"width: 199px\" class=\"wp-caption alignright\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"wp-image-1533\" src=\"http:\/\/www.fineflowtech.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2020\/06\/Pinhole-Leak.png\" alt=\"Pin Hole Leak\" width=\"199\" height=\"112\" \/><figcaption id=\"caption-attachment-1533\" class=\"wp-caption-text\"><span style=\"color: #000000;\">Pin Hole Hose Leak<\/span><\/figcaption><\/figure>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><span style=\"color: #000000;\">Probably the most common injury associated with hydraulic systems is the result of pinhole leaks in hoses. These leaks are difficult to locate. A person may notice a damp, oily, dirty place near a\u00a0 hydraulic line. Not seeing the leak, the person runs a hand or finger along the line to find it. <\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><span style=\"color: #000000;\">When the pinhole is reached, the fluid easily can be injected into the skin as if from a hypodermic syringe. Injuries from Pinhole Leaks can be painful and can lead to digit or limb disfigurement. It is advised to take all necessary precautions to avoid such an occurrence.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<h4><strong><span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\">Bleed Injury<\/span><\/strong><\/h4>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><span style=\"color: #000000;\">Bleeding a system for its pressure is highly recommended to be done offline. Bleeding a system while it is pressurized can be catastrophic and highly injury prone. The nature of any pressurized system while releasing pressure is relatively unpredictable. Accurate installation procedures coupled with a good design not only increases the life of your system but also assures optimum performance when critically needed.<\/span><\/p>\n<h4><span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\"><strong>Improper Coupling<\/strong><\/span><\/h4>\n<figure id=\"attachment_1537\" aria-describedby=\"caption-attachment-1537\" style=\"width: 313px\" class=\"wp-caption alignright\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\" wp-image-1537\" src=\"http:\/\/www.fineflowtech.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2020\/06\/DICSA-Multiway-Coupling.jpg\" alt=\"DICSA Multiway Coupling.\" width=\"313\" height=\"201\" \/><figcaption id=\"caption-attachment-1537\" class=\"wp-caption-text\"><em>\u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 DICSA Multi Way Coupling<\/em><\/figcaption><\/figure>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><span style=\"color: #000000;\">Another hazard is improper coupling of low-and high-pressure hydraulic components. Do not connect a high-pressure pump to a low-pressure system. A low-pressure component, hose or fitting should not be incorporated into a high-pressure system. Component, hose or fitting ruptures are likely to occur.<\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><span style=\"color: #000000;\">Pressure relief valves incorporated into the hydraulic system will avoid pressure buildups during use. Keep these valves clean and test them periodically to ensure correct operation.<\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><span style=\"color: #000000;\">Be careful when you are close to pressure taps, quick couplings and hoses when they are under pressure, especially if the device does not appear to comply with\u00a0<strong>safety standards<\/strong>. A coupling can be ejected from its housing at the same speed as a bullet; the hoses can suddenly turn into a sword.<\/span><\/p>\n<h4><span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\"><span style=\"color: #000000;\"><strong>Maintenance<\/strong><\/span><\/span><\/h4>\n<p><span style=\"color: #000000;\">An improperly maintained hydraulic system can lead to component failures.
