Handling HF Acid at 40% volume<\/strong> is a tough job. Achieving a head of close to 24 meters adds to the complexity of the problem. How did we do it ?<\/span><\/p>\n

Our customer called us down to survey a technical challenge he was facing. The previous system had failed causing a process safety and compliance red flag. The challenge was to deliver a 40% volume solution of Hydrofluoric Acid to a height of 24 meters.<\/span><\/p>\n

Hydrofluoric acid<\/strong>, chemically written as HF, is used in a wide range of industries, including etching and cleaning processes, chemical manufacturing etc. HF acid, like many other compounds, can have severe and adverse effects on handlers if not used properly. The essence to implement safety checks and quality instruments is essential in such applications. Pumping Hydrofluoric acid has its own challenges and it has to be done effectively.<\/span><\/p>\n

The only was this could be achieved was by using a DEBEM<\/strong> Sealless Magnetic Drive Pump in PVDF.<\/span><\/p>\n
