Case Study: Alumina Slurry Pumping.
The customer is a very large global multinational with manufacturing locations in India, Europe and China. Serving critical markets and applications, the products manufactured by the customer are crucial to meet end user quality specs. Demanding applications and high quality standards require consistent performance during the process. One small mistake could lead to rejection of products worth hundreds of thousands of dollars per batch. Keeping in mind the critical process, Fine Flow Technologies associates understood the application before suggesting a suitable product.
APPLICATION :

Slurry Details : 20% concentrated alumina
Application Detail: Wet blasting Surface Treatment
Challenges : Erosion, Slurry Accumulation, Process termination.
Particulate size : Varying upto 4mm
The Challenge :
Slurry regeneration into slurry tank to maintain slurry concentration to successfully carry out process application.
The Solution :

Boxer 81 from DEBEM, Italy.
Air-operated double diaphragm volumetric pumps, ATEX – IECEx certified, constructed in polypropylene or PVDF in the plastic version or in aluminium or AISI 316 L for the metal versions. BOXER pumps are ideal for pumping liquids with high apparent viscosity, even if containing suspended solids. The vast range of materials available for the parts in contact with the fluid, such as pump casings and manifolds, diaphragms, balls, ball seats and o-rings, makes them compatible with any type of fluid.
The Result :
Satisfied customer, consistent process output, zero downtime.
